Jaiden (they/them) is a young, queer, Black poet from Seattle, Washington. their poems are published in Diode, perhappened, and Lumiere Review, among others. they are currently working on multiple poetry chapbooks, but do not be surprised if none ever reach completion or publication. their writing inspirations include Danez Smith, Ocean Vuong, Taylor Byas, Madeline Miller, and their fellow teen writers. they are also a winner of the 2023 VSA Playwright Discovery Competition with their short play titled SUPERNOVA.
outside of writing, they are planning to major in theatre. they are currently in a production of The Winter's Tale as Camillo.
